Day 1: Practice Tolerance and Acceptance

"Acceptance of one's life has nothing to do with resignation; it does not mean running away from the struggle. On the contrary, it means accepting it as it comes, with all the handicaps of heredity, of suffering, of psychological complexes and injustices." -- Paul Tournier

Mom-ME time

Between work and a vivacious one-year-old kid, the only down time I have is late nights after the little one has slept. And I do mean late nights, since my daughter got my nocturnal tendencies and rarely sleeps earlier than 9:00 PM. So what do I do with my precious me time? Mostly I read, and do some random crafts or whatever every now and then when the mood strikes.

Last night, I was able to change my nail colors myself for the first time in a long time (I have become a semi-regular customer of our friendly neighborhood manikurista as of late). From a pearly pinkish-beige (my cousin teased me about this color, kakasalin ang peg?) to Mojito from Bobbie's Holoprism collection. Unfortunately my phone's camera wasn't able to pick up on the shimmers. Here's a peek:

I wish my hands look that good in real life. Oh well. Photoshop really does wonders (though this was a necessity in this case as the original image from my phone was quite dark).

Anywho, here's the adorable creature little girl that took over my life, my biggest and best gift ever, in one of my fave pictures of her:

That's all for now. Hopefully I could post better pictures next time. Any thoughts? :)
