Home is where the Heart is

This is the first time that I have two active blogs on different platforms (Blogger and WordPress)  for the same reason, that is as an online collection of thoughts and what-not. The overlap is quite unintentional, as I was using WordPress before and due to some technical glitch I was denied access to the blog so I created a new one here on Blogger. And then last month, I discovered I could access my WordPress account once more so there you go.

Now, I have this on-going Blog Challenge here, but lately I find myself posting more on the other blog than here. Theoretically, I could just up and close this blog and that would be the end of it, but in reality I could not bring myself to do it. I mean, I did put in time and effort for this one too, especially the design and layout.

As you can see, they look quite different, given that I made them with different frames of mind. Whereas the  older WordPress blog is very minimalistic and the palette is monochromatic, the newer Blogger one has more intricate details and a pop of color. But both represent me and together the styles embody my knack for opposites and contrast.

So, what to do?

2013 Blog Challenge: March revisit

Not that I have really been all that active during the past week or so, but just for the record, I will not be blogging, tweeting, and in general be online in any social networking site. That said, I will be turning off my mobile data starting 12 midnight tonight until Black Saturday. I will be logging in again on Easter Sunday.

So that's it. See you on Sunday!

I have to amend my earlier plan to turn off my mobile data as I conveniently forgot that I use Google Talk to keep in touch with the BF. *facepalm*

So what I'll be doing is keep my mobile data on until after we've talked and then turn it off until the next day. And discipline myself in the meantime not to use FB, Twitter or Instagram. So help me God.

2013 Blog Challenge: February Revisit (plus some ramblings on the side)

Wouldn't you know it, I actually made good on my 2013 Blog Challenge for February! Not counting that challenge post itself, I managed to churn out 5 posts (never mind how nonsensical mundane most of them are). Not bad considering I started in the middle of the month. Now if I could just keep up the pace...

Making it count

So welcome to my brand-spanking-new blog!

After 27 years, 4 platforms and a dozen or so blogs, here I am with another new one. What gives? Convenience, because I cannot access my Wordpress blog (which is yes, still active though not currently updated) from work and this I can. Oh well. That, and Google Friend Connect, seeing as most blogs I read are on this platform and thus makes it easier for me to follow them.

Rambling aside, this is part of my on-going life organization and continuous self-improvement hoo-hah. I promise to make my posts count and (hopefully) not get too carried away by my ever-diverging thoughts.
