So many books...

...that I sometimes lose track what of I have and have not read. A perfect example:

Third volume in the Kane Chronicles


I started reading this the other day. And as I progressed, I kept getting blindsided by characters and events. I was like, where did that come from? How come I can't remember reading about this in the prior book? And so on, until it came to the point that I was more bewildered than interested. So I looked for my copy of the book prior to this volume:

And as I looked for the progress on my Kindle, it turns out I was am only 1% into the whole book. *huffs* Figures. I conveniently forgot that I have not yet read the second book in the excitement over the release of the third.

Has this ever happened to you?

    Natawa naman ako dun. I'm still 2% into the Maze Runner, but I stopped for Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Library (which is the most fun to read book I read in a while.)

    Will get back on track with Maze Runner.

      Hmmm... Two bloggers (you and Cha) have already made mention of Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Library. I think it's high time I find a copy myself and see what the hype is all about. ;)

    I've been a fan of the Kane Chronicles until the last installment. I did not like Serpent's Shadow at all. :(

      Really? Why? No, don't say it. No spoilers please. :P Although I was already 9% into it before stopping and going back to Throne of Fire.
