Recipe: Toaster Cookies and Mallows Treat

For some reason, our microwave oven got busted so I could not make mug cookies or those No-bake Chewy Cookie Bars. So you could imagine my frustration when I was craving for those bars and the stupid microwave won't work. There was still the oven toaster, but I am not sure how marshmallows would react. Just the same, I had to try something. And here is that something:

Toaster Cookies and Mallows Treat

What I used:

  • 2 packs chocolate-filled Cream-O cookies
  • 8 pieces Marshies chocolate & vanilla flavored marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips

What I did:

  1. Arrange 4 cookies on the toaster tray. In my case, I used a lanera (tin container for leche flan).
  2. Arrange the remaining 2 cookies on top to cover the gaps between the cookies on the bottom layer.
  3. Arrange the marshmallows on top of the cookies.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  5. Toast for 2-3 minutes, or until the tops or marshmallows are lightly browned.
  6. Cool (or not) and serve. Enjoy!

Some notes:

  • Serves 1 or 2, depending on the appetite of whoever will eat. For the record, I was able to finish this by myself.
  • You could dunk the cookies in milk first to soften them up.

    1. Very easy indeed, even a kid could do this (with adult supervision though). So yeah, I share easy-peasy recipes in hopes that frustrated bakers like me would find my posts and appease some of their frustrations with these treats. ;)

Anything goes here. But make your thought count.. or not. *wink*
